Voice & VoIP Cabling
VoIP-ready Cat6 drops for IP phones, plus any remaining analog (POTS, fax, paging) lines on Cat3 or Cat5e. Punchdown blocks (66 and 110) for legacy systems still in service. We work with your phone vendor on cutover scheduling.

VoIP Cabling
Modern VoIP phones (Polycom, Yealink, Cisco, Mitel, RingCentral, 8x8, Microsoft Teams certified handsets) all run on the same Cat6 drops as your data network. If you're doing a fresh build-out or refresh, we install one Cat6 drop per desk and you can plug a phone or computer into either end. PoE+ from a PoE-budget switch powers the phone.
Legacy Analog Cabling
Many buildings in West Tennessee still have a mix — some lines on a VoIP system, some on legacy POTS or analog. We handle:
- POTS lines — fax machines, alarm dialers, elevator phones, fire panel dialers (most jurisdictions still require POTS for these life-safety circuits)
- Paging speakers and intercom — 70V or 25V distributed audio for warehouse and big-box paging
- Door access intercom — tying older 2-wire intercoms into a modern phone or VoIP system
- 66 and 110 punchdown blocks — we still maintain these for legacy systems; we don't insist on ripping out working infrastructure
Cutover Coordination
Phone system cutovers are coordination jobs. We've worked with most major VoIP vendors (RingCentral, 8x8, Vonage, Nextiva, Dialpad, Microsoft Teams Phone) and their local resellers on day-of-cutover work — running the new drops in parallel, terminating jacks for the new phones, decommissioning the old wiring after cutover is verified. We schedule around your business hours so the cutover happens with the least disruption.
