How Our Pricing Works
No published per-drop rates — cabling pricing depends on too many project-specific variables to make a published rate honest. Here's exactly how we quote instead.
The Variables That Drive Price
- Drop count — the largest single driver. Pricing per drop drops sharply at scale (a 200-drop project has a lower per-drop labor than a 12-drop project because mobilization is amortized).
- Cable category — Cat5e < Cat6 < Cat6a < fiber. Material differences are meaningful at scale.
- Pathway difficulty — open ceiling with cable tray is fast; hard ceiling with fishing through walls is slow; conduit fills are slower still and have material costs.
- Termination configuration — modular jacks at the wall plate, patch panel configuration, rack and cable management requirements.
- Test certification — included in our standard pricing, not an upsell.
- Compliance / documentation — Davis-Bacon certified payroll, OSHA-30 supervisor on site, HIPAA documentation, etc. add some overhead but are itemized so you see the cost.
- Site conditions — occupied vs vacant space (occupied requires more care, sometimes after-hours work), height of the install (lift work), asbestos / lead-paint constraints on older buildings.
Our Quoting Process
Step 1: Initial scope call. You call (731) 324-4161 or send a request through the form. We ask about drop count, building size, timeline, and any specs you have. If you have drawings or an RFP, we ask for the file.
Step 2: Site walk-through (when feasible). For projects above ~25 drops or where pathway is complex, we visit the site to scope properly. We measure run distances, identify pathway constraints, check IDF/MDF locations, and confirm anything ambiguous.
Step 3: Written quote. You get a quote that's line-itemed by drop, by pathway material, by termination, by patch panel, and by test certification. No "lump sum, trust me" pricing — you can see exactly what's installed and what each line costs.
Step 4: Award and schedule. Sign the quote, we mobilize within 1-2 weeks for typical TI work or per the master schedule for new construction.
What Doesn't Show Up On Your Invoice
- Surprise change orders — if conditions on site change the scope, we tell you before doing the work, not after
- "While we're out here" upsells — we don't try to talk you into a fiber backbone you didn't ask for
- Hidden trip fees — mobilization is in the quoted price, no per-day truck rolls
- Test report fees — Fluke DSX certification is included on every drop
